A Few Hoya Blooms

A few blooming at the moment: Obscura in the top picture, curtisii in the middle and nummularioides at the bottom. Curtisii will out scent all of them, especially at night!

Cool for you! None of mine are blooming right now, they are trying, but it is not going so well...lol. I love the nummularioides, such a pretty white flower. In your Num. pic, the leaves look nicely red.....where do you keep it? What kind of sun does it get? I moved mine to higher light, but I am not getting the red, just paler, bleached leaves. I love the Hoya's that turn red or purple with the sun.

Hi Tracy and thanks for the nice comments...I have mine under fluorescent grow lights, the ones you get at Home Depot....since i changed the lights in the fall, the leaves have turned more red....the obscura leaves do that also..no worries, spring is the way and you will be getting more blooms!

Well, I think I might move mine under fluorescents as well. I use them too, not for everything....but for a lot. I have been thinking lately that I might need to replace the bulbs. There are close to a year old and run for 16 hours a day.

Yes i replace the bulbs once a year and have the lights on 16 hours per day also....usually by a year, I figure they need replacing....
